Answer: Hofstede's cultural dimensions theory mainly explains about the influence of a culture that was established in the society on the practical nature of different individuals, it also explains about the relationship between the behavior and the practical nature of the group of people in a community. The main five cultural dimensions regarding Hofstede's theory are the power distribution with inequality, unpredictability, and ambiguity of the people in society, independent vs. priority for a group, characteristics of men vs. women, long-term vs. short term intentions. The implications for managing employees from such culture is difficult because regarding these dimensions the employees will always feel inferior due to power distance because all the workers will not think in the same manner some will prefer for the equal distribution of power. In individualism employee can work individually without depending on others whereas in collectivism interdependency will occur, gender difference will also bring so many clashes amongst the workers due to these all conditions there exists an uncertainty among the workers and it will show an effect on their long term and short term intentions.
