Subject: Change Management within the Lakeland Wonders and applying change management principles

Dear Maam,

It is imperative that "change" is only a constant thing in an organization and we cannot escape from the changes. We need to overcome the foreseen obstacles and also build strategies with the help of change management principles and encourage acceptance (Morin, 2013). The change management strategy is an active process that can work and promote changes allowing a new and desired ways of operating. Often the organization experience failures when there is a mismatch from the common vision with respect to the rest of the employees/team members along with the conflicting managerial line (Lozano, 2013). The failures in changes happen due to the-:

The existing employees would be uncomfortable to accept sudden changes

There would be constant disagreements which would happen among the employees/employers

Often there would be opinions which would not be recognized such as there would be lack of co-operation, co-ordination, and communication.

To bring a change and to accept the management within the process we need to support below two managers of the Lakeland wonders, to help them accept the change management effectively-:

Mark Dawson, Senior VP of Operations-: As he is not able to understand the long term vision of the company, we need to provide him effective training and a timeline plans, which would help hi assure that the changes foreseen are for the benefit of the company (Lines, 2013).

Jerry Silistro, Sales-: he is able to accept changes but he is resistant to implement them and constantly questions them. It is better to understand his perspective, be transparent in the approach and answer his questions respectively (Lozano, 2013). He is able to understand changes, shows enthusiasm, but due to the peer influence is often creating resistance to the changes.

Ethical Principles to Change Management-:

The changes applied with respect to the ethics needs to examine principles and build the strategy for the change management to encourage acceptance and less resistance. The responses adequate to the identified employees, from you that are resisting changes needs be per the below principles-:

For the Mark, who is not able to understand the long term vision needs to be understood from the principles of the From the perspective of the Woodhall Winstanley and Heery, the major tensions exists between the organisation, and tends to integrate the managers along with the perspective of the employees that may also integrate disparities related to the acceptance from the future perspective of the organisation (Morin, 2013). It needs to also apply and understand the implications of change which can be extrapolated, and also understand the system of affecting employees (Lewis, 2013).

As for Jerry, who is able to understand the changes and the consequences, we need to apply the Lewin's field theory to encourage acceptance (Ceulemans, 2013). As per the theory, it is important to open a dialogue and social construction which would help in building ethical change management and would be constructive to provide a framework of ethical practice which would center around in terms of the change agents which can be utilized (Frankland, 2013). The theory examines how the changes would occur when promoting forces increase, along with also resisting forces which would decrease, that can lead to building on an "ethical conflicts".

In order to integrate and welcome the changes, we need to build and introduce three measures which can be taken by you in order to integrate and include resistance with respect to the relevant change management studies (Doppelt, 2017). The measures would be in line to the principles of ethical change management which were developed by the group are being applied-:

Understand presents Lakeland's culture and the unique traditional ways while approaching the challenges. One needs to understand, enact and build along the following strategies-:

  • Enacting on plans and building strategies too aggressively (Hayes, 2017).
  • To bring out the Hailstorm's driving style which is not in line with the Lakeland's culture

One needs to also actively involve the team members

  • One needs to also encourage and provide them an open chance
  • Important to include the identified members, into the planning process.

Needs to encourage and improve communication with the team/staff members

  • To have a composed body language (Hornstein, 2015)
  • To communicate effectively with the major stakeholders and also with the senior managers.
  • Important to be clear and articulate

The other identified measures which would sync in the acceptance of the changes would be-:

  • To have a clear vision, strategy along with the process (Lines, 2013)
  • To also need to introduce a new style of leadership
  • To also have a new driving style this would be aligned with the organization's culture.
  • The leaders should also have a composed body language

We need to build on the strategy of the changes-:

Change focus: 'It is a unit of change'

  • Even the process, practice along with the product or person that would integrate the change required for the development (Lozano, 2016).
  • To understand how the changes approached that would allow integrating the direction per the change
  • 'Prescribed': Including the organization

To also include as a part of the constructive, the organization should be able to match with the rhythm of the new strategy and also the innovative idle.

In the end, I would like to help you understand how the change management process can actively result in the stress and result in active resistance to the changes (Morin, 2016). I would like to understand your perspective, to build changes theories and integration of it.

Looking forward to connecting and discussing the matter,

Sincerely
