Most often than not, it is the staff that is most involved in the business and they are the ones that are dealing with the issues. The staff often has first-hand knowledge of the issue and this is the main reason that the staff’s feedback is important, as they will often be able to understand and find the appropriate solution (Radojevic, Stanisic & Stanic, 2015). Customer feedback is also essential, since it is the customers who often make the brand. By taking their feedback, it might improve brand loyalty, and it might just help the company come up with creative solutions to the issues.

a) The organization I work at is a fast-food point, and it would be very easy to get sued by major companies for trying to infringe on their copyright or intellectual property, or trying to get their technology. Thus, they would affect my organization, which is Burger King, a great deal.

b) The steps taken to gain and secure the corporate knowledge would be regular training sessions and workshops for all the employees.

c) If each one was lost, then it would mean that the company would lose the advantage that they have, and would thus, lose their market share as well.

The main information systems of the organization are the computers in the head office. They would have to be services and checked every 6 months, and this would be cross-references against the needs of the user of the computer, to assess if it meets the needs (Laudon & Laudon, 2016). The same method would be used in order to determine the usefulness of the information systems.

In order to update the information system, there are regular maintenance and check-ups that are done every 6 months. This is done on a rotation basis. Apart from this, in case of complaints from the user, the systems are maintained and updated (Liu, Liang & Wang, 2016). This is extremely beneficial to the organization, since it means that the systems are always updated, and any issues are always cleared. It also means that the systems are always up-to-date and any gap in the information systems, due to their lack of updating, is avoided as much as possible.

b) It could lead to liabilities for the company. If the company does not consult the employees regarding OHS, and makes the rules for the same, the employees or the union could file a lawsuit against the company.

c) It is the duty of the company. According to Australian laws, every organization must consult with the employees regarding OHS, which is why it is the duty of the company to ensure that employees are consulted.

The organization has a dedicated Human Resources department that is able to manage the advice and documentation needs. Once a month, managers of every department are supposed to collect feedback from the employees regarding the requirements that they have in terms of location, format and timeline, and passes it along to the Human resources department (Serrat, 2017). The department then takes the considerations seriously, and makes the necessary changes based on the advice, if it can be made. This is essential for the organization to succeed, since it is often the advice of the employees that ensures that the organization is able to function better.

When eliminating the risk is not an option, it would be best to try to avoid the risk. In risk management, the first thing that most people do, when looking at the risk, would be to look at whether the risk is one that can be avoided (Bromiley, McShane, Nair & Rustambekov, 2015). If avoiding the risk is not an option, then it is essential to assess the severity of the risk, so that the organization can be prepared for the risk. It should also be checked if the risk can be passed on, maybe to another organization, or a different department that is better equipped to handle the risk.

Cost-Benefit Analysis is one of the best quantitative methods that can be used in order to make a decision. It looks at measuring the economic cost and the social benefits that are associated with the course of action that is being taken. In order to assess the issue using this method, it essential to look at every cost and benefit, and not just those that are associated with the bottom line (Brannen, 2017). This would help in solving the issue that is related to employees, and the number of times an employee can be forgiven for making a mistake. If the employee has intimate knowledge, they should be kept in the organization, but if they are not, then they must be let go.

a) In order to adjust information management systems, it is essential to look at different types of systems. Different types of systems can have different advantages, and thus, in order to meet one’s objective, it would be essential to check different vendors and types of systems, so that they can be adjusted accordingly (Laudon & Laudon, 2016).

If it takes time to make the burgers and fries, and if the number of orders is too much to handle, then I would interpret that more orders are coming in, which would mean that more machines would be needed.

This would mean talks between managers, which have been recorded and scheduled officially. This would be used as a method of networking with various companies, and would provide adequate information about issues that are not in the memory system (Kvan, West & Vera, 2015). Informal networks, often known as grapevines, would be between employees, or which is not sanctioned by the organization. This would gather less information, and it might not be valid either.

In order to understand how knowledge management can help in gaining a better understanding of the daily tasks, it would first be essential to look at the tasks that each member has, and compare it to how they are able to perform, with and without the knowledge management training (Beaverstock, 2017).
